Fully restored lighthouse available by tour only. Make reservations in advance on their website. The fee for the tour is around $25/person. Fees go to maintenance and upkeep of the site. Tours ar… Full review by rsbdesign

I am not sure what the cost is for hikers. For security reasons there is a docent that leads the hikes. You can contact the Point San Luis Lighthouse website and request more information. My husband and I are both seniors and we chose the trolley ride because we were not sure how strenuous the hiking trail would be and did not want to get halfway into it and decide it was not for us. The trolley ride was fun and the driver had a great sense of humor and also provided some of the history or the lighthouse.

Out the resort, turn left and it's about a block down across the street. The Timeshare counter reps were great with assistance for buying the tickets and giving us the directions directions.
