An executive order by U.S. President Donald Trump to suspend refugee admissions has magnified the fears of one Afghan American soldier who has long been worried about the fate of his sister in Kabul.

Afghan refugees appeal to President Trump to exempt them from an order suspending relocations; some say they risked their lives to support U.S. troops.

But in his first days in office, Trump’s administration announced the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program would be suspended from Jan. 27 for at least three months. During that peri
