Former Milwaukee Brewers left-handed pitcher CC Sabathia was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame today, receiving 86.8% of the vote in his first year on the ballot.

The ejection that cost him $500,000 in bonus money in 2018 'just added to the legend of CC' said Yankees manager Aaron Boone.

CC Sabathia loomed as an imposing figure on the mound throughout his 19-year career in the major leagues. Not just because of his physical size, but because of the way he could take over a game.

CC Sabathia adds another C to his name now, for Cooperstown, now that he becomes the latest great Yankee to become a first-ballot Hall of Famer.

The no-doubters appear to be a few years away as next winter's ballot doesn't include any slam-dunk first-ballot inductees.

Ichiro Suzuki became the first Japanese player chosen for baseball’s Hall of Fame, falling one vote shy of unanimous when he was elected Tuesday along with CC Sabathia and Billy Wagner.

The Yankees will have a pair of new representatives in the Baseball Hall of Fame in CC Sabathia and Ichiro Suzuki after the 2025 voting results.

It now appears it’s a question of when, not if, Carlos Beltrán will be voted into the Baseball Hall of Fame. Next year could be his time. The ballot is wide open.

The five newcomers, including Ichiro Suzuki and CC Sabathia, will be inducted into the Hall of Fame on July 27, 2025, in Cooperstown, New York.

The Baseball Hall of Fame Class of 2025 results were revealed on January 21, and two former New York Yankees players earned immortalization in Cooperstown, New
