There was a scary situation in Carver-Hawkeye Arena Tuesday night when a male cheerleader for the Hawkeyes had to be carted off the court on a stretcher after a stunt gone wrong during Iowa's game against Minnesota.

Odukale was big for Minnesota as it built a 63-46 lead on a pair of free throws by Garcia with 6:15 remaining. A 37% foul shooter this season, he hit a pair to give the Gophers a 70-65 lead with 51 seconds remaining.

Minnesota led by 17 points, 63-46, with just over six minutes to play in the second half before Iowa started to eat away at the lead. The lead was still 11 points when there was a lengthy delay for an injured cheerleader with 2:42 to play. From there, the Hawkeyes cut the deficit to three before the Gophers sealed the win at the free-throw line.

Iowa cannot solve all of its problems this week but at the very least, it serves as a chance to steady the ship after a disastrous road trip.

But the Hawkeyes (12-6, 3-4 Big Ten) remain supremely confident in their abilities as they turn their attention to Minnesota (9-9, 1-6). The teams will tip off Tuesday night in Iowa City.
