LOS ANGELES, - The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced nominations on Thursday for the 97th Oscars. Winners will be announced at a live, televised ceremony from Hollywood on March 2. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences postponed nominations twice due to the ongoing wildfires in Los Angeles.

The 2025 Oscar nominations will be announced 7:30 a.m. CT in a live show from the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Los Angeles. The reveal is hosted by actor Bowen Yang of "Saturday Night Live" and actress Rachel Sennott. The nominations announcement were originally set for Jan. 17, but were moved because of the California wildfires.

Both Jeremy Strong and Kieran Culkin were nominated for and won Emmys for their work on Succession. However, Strong’s work in The Apprentice and Culkin’s performance in A Real Pain landed them their first Oscar nominations.
