While it's stopped snowing, deadly winter weather conditions aren't gone. The National Weather Service is warning of icy roads persisting in Georgia.

Brian Kemp and other state officials are warning metro Atlanta residents to stay off the road on Tuesday due to winter weather. State officials said to stay off the roads starting at noon. They added that people should stay at their destination for the next few days.

On Thursday at 2:08 a.m. a cold weather advisory was issued by the National Weather Service valid from 7 p.m. until Friday 9 a.m. for Coffee, Dale, Henry, Geneva and Houston counties.

On Tuesday at 3:05 p.m. the National Weather Service issued an updated cold weather advisory valid for Wednesday between midnight and 10 a.m. for Franklin, Hampshire and Hampden counties.
