The Oilers could have allowed themselves to be rattled after the whole McDavid suspension saga. A couple of veteran referees got caught ignoring an obvious extended infraction and you wonder if Curious George Parros threw an extra game onto McDavid’s suspension for no other reason other than jealousy or envy.
Connor McDavid will be eligible to return from his three-game suspension when the Edmonton Oilers play host to the Seattle Kraken on Monday night. McDavid received the ban from the NHL for crosschecking the Vancouver Canucks' Conor Garland in the head late in a game on Jan. 18.

The Edmonton Oilers have found themselves in unfamiliar territory following Saturday’s 3-2 victory over the Buffalo Sabres. It wasn’t the prettiest of games, as they allowed the Sabres to fire 41 shots toward the Edmonton net. Stuart Skinner was magnificent, backstopping the Oil with 39 saves and bailing the team out with a few breakaway stops.
