Former Ottawa Senator Joonas Korppisalo pitched a shutout against his old team and the Bruins won 2-0 t the Garden.

Joonas Korpisalo readily admitted that he wasn’t at his best all day on Monday. But given the opportunity to preserve a win for the Bruins against the San Jose Sharks, the netminder showed up at the right time.

Swayman stopped 25 out of 29 Devils shots he faced on the night. The Bruins were outmatched entirely by the Devils at that point of the contest, but Swayman did his best to keep the Original Six club in it. He made several big stops, but the Bruins could not stop the Devils' offense.

After an ugly loss to the New Jersey Devils on Jan. 22, the Boston Bruins bounced back in a big way against the Ottawa Senators on Jan. 23. The Bruins defeated their division rival by a 2-0 final score and have jumped up from sixth place to third place in the Atlantic Division.

Dawson Mercer scored twice during New Jersey's four-goal second period, and the Devils beat the Boston Bruins 5-1 on Wednesday night.
