Just a week after his emotional social media rant, WWE announcer Corey Graves made his return to NXT. PWInsider reported his return before the show went on the air. Graves was reportedly “booked late” on January 20, 2025, to return to WWE NXT.
Graves was previously in the booth for WWE SmackDown, but when WWE Raw moved to Netflix, Graves moved to NXT for NXT New Year's Evil. It was not clear if the move was permanent. Michael Cole and Pat McAfee called WWE Raw while Joe Tessitore and Wade Barrett called WWE SmackDown.
