The state and local governments would only be able to fly U.S., state, military and prisoner-of-war flags over their buildings, unless elected officials approve others, under the proposal.

A new version of a bill that would ban government entities from flying certain flags has been introduced. On Thursday, Rep. Heather Scott, R-Blanchard, re-introduced an amended version of the bill.
