NBC announced on Wednesday that Mike Tirico will work as the lead play-by-play announcer for the network's NBA coverage, which begins next season.

Basketball fans will see a familiar face when the NBA returns to NBC. Mike Tirico, who called more than 375 NBA regular-season and playoff games on ESPN over 15 seasons, was announced as the lead play-by-play voice when NBC’s coverage of the association returns with the 2025-26 season,

Mike Tirico has been named the lead play-by-play broadcaster for NBC's coverage of the NBA starting with the 2025-2026 season.

Tirico will call select games on NBC and Peacock the first half of the season, including the season opener in October.
