Aaron Glenn being hired as head coach of the New York Jets has been praised by many connected to the team’s locker room… both the current one and others of the past. Players that are on the Jets’ roster right now and those who previously were in past years but still follow the team were happy about the decision to tab Glenn as the next head coach.

“And there is word out there, there’s been leaks I’ve heard that whatever they pay Aaron Glenn, (he’s) made it known that he would like to keep Aaron Rodgers,” Kay said on his radio show Tuesday, a day before the Glenn hiring became official.

The New York Jets confirmed the weeks-long rumors and reports. Aaron Glenn is their next head coach. Glenn, 52, leaves his post as the defensive coordinator of the Detroit Lions to take the helm with Gang Green. He was long a fan favorite after he was the team’s first-round pick in 1994 and spent the bulk of his career with the Jets.
