Two men died in the violence on Democracy Street, in the Renaissance Park neighborhood off Tryon Road, and a Raleigh police officer remained hospitalized after the shooting. A large police truck with a ram attached to its front end remained in the alley on the street’s 600 block, where the garage door was smashed in.

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — One Raleigh police officer was shot and two other people, including the suspect, were killed during a shootout after a burglary call at a home in a south Raleigh neighborhood Tuesday.

A Raleigh woman, Jill Rohner, gave her first public account after her ex-husband, Antonio Rodrigues, fatally shot her partner, John Rowe, and then died in a shootout with police.
