Authorities in Fond du Lac County say one person is dead after a vehicle crashed into a pulled-over vehicle and a passenger Wednesday night on I-41. According to a release from the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office,

One person was killed after being struck during a collision between two vehicles Wednesday in Fond du Lac County.

FOND DU LAC, Wis. - The Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office is investigating a fatal crash that occurred on Wednesday, Jan. 22. It happened around 9:30 p.m. on I-41 near Winnebago Street in the Town of Friendship.

FOND DU LAC COUNTY – Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office is investigating a Jan. 22 crash on Interstate 41 that left one person dead. After a 911 call at about 9:32 p.m. Wednesday, deputies responded to the scene near Winnebago Street in the town of Friendship for a crash on the southbound lanes of the interstate involving two vehicles.

A 31-year-old Cecil man was arrested Jan. 21 on suspicion of leading Fond du Lac County deputies in a vehicle pursuit on Interstate 41.

It happened just after 9:30 p.m. in the southbound lanes of I-41 near Winnebago Street in the town of Friendship.

One person is dead after a driver collided with stopped vehicle in the Town of Friendship. Authorities say a passenger from the stopped vehicle got out and then was hit.

The median home in Fond du Lac County listed for $343,975 in December, up 0.3% from the previous month's $342,950, an analysis of data from Realtor.com shows. Compared to December 2023, the median home list price increased 21.8% from $282,400.

The man contended the shutdown violated his constitutional rights and no longer believes peaceful protest is an option.

Winnebago County, home to Oshkosh, recorded 172 sales for the month, a 35.4% spike compared to December 2023, the highest increase among major metro areas along I-41. In Brown County, home to Green Bay, sales increased 11.6% to 241 in December. Further south, sales dipped 3.5% in Fond du Lac County with 82 existing homes sold in December.

Caden Stachowicz, 19, of Menasha, is charged with arson, making terrorist threats, attempted burglary and criminal damage.
