Jun 22, 2016 · I have found that my grip has become progressively stronger and I often feel as though my hands are not properly joined throughout the swing. I have also been fighting the lefts (hooks) mainly due to a pronounced in to out path. That said, I experimented with the interlock and the reverse overlap grip at the range today.

Started with the 10 finger (carryover from baseball), then moved to the interlock, overlap and finally double-overlap. I chip and putt with a huge reverse overlap - left index finger pointing straight down - so that's probably why it feels natural.

Oct 8, 2021 · So i now use full handed grip from left hand without interlock or overlap and an open right hand, thumb a little on right edge. the separation comes in when you don't fully cup the left thumb in your right pad. so maybe a 1 finger gap between the 2 hands.and cupping over the left knuckle, instead of full thumb.

Jun 23, 2017 · I think Hogan was working on things that were really specific to his biomechanics and may not be universally applicable. Although I am not sure Hogan would have objected to a Reverse Interlocking grip. The Reverse Interlock for me is as follows:-bottom hand pinky below the webbing of the top hand index and middle fingers.

Worked great, found the green and +/-15' 2-putt par. On a 178yd Par 3, down breeze, 5i and Vardon grip, put the ball up in the air, and let it knock my ball down in the middle of the green.
