Jul 3, 2006 · The theory is the bacon grease odor attracks the coyote who then eats/swallows the sponge. The sponge is small enough to be swallowed whole which passes thru the large intestine but will not pass into the small intestine.

When I got to where he fell about 30 yards from where I shot him, I seen by the leaf pattern on the ground that he was thrashing around pretty good before he expired.

My grandpa had some that would run coyote 4,5,6 hrs. and when the coyote got tired of runnin' and decided to stop and fight, or they caught it most of the time, it was bad news for Mr. Coyote. He also had a pack that he used for nothing but runnin deer.

Jan 27, 2022 · I once dealt with a three legged coyote that I created when it made off with a crossed staked trap. It was continually seen in the area. It took two years but I eventually caught it on a set back set. Standard dirt hole that it would tip toe around but not commit so it got a second trap a foot back from the first one.

Dec 10, 2012 · Depending on what you are expecting, I paid $100 for one(I gave him the whole coyote) and it was NOT what I expected when I got it back. After learning how to tan myself, I learned the guy that did mine did not "break" the skin after the tanning process, so its stiff and not supple like I wanted it to be. It also smelled somethin terrible.

The coyote now spreads and grows UNCHECKED and yes, IMHO, has an unnatural effect on other game. That's what happens when you mess with a piece of the very delicate puzzle. Same thing ALWAYS happens with the introduction of non-natives.
